no granulomas in chediak-higashi?

Does anyone know why patients with Chronic Granulomatous Disease are prone to develop granulomas, while those with Chediak-Higashi are not?

In CGD the phagolysosome will fuse but the invading agent will not degraded completely due to lack of complete oxidative burst which inturn make marcophage to secrete IL- 12, activating Th1 ,these cells will inturn secrete INF-gamma activating Macrophage leading to granuloma formation , now comparing it with Cheidak higashi syndrome defect here is Lysosomal trafficking gene leading defective fusion of phago-lysosome there by not activating the macrophage ,hope this helps
