No IIs since early November

Hi all,

I've had 3 interviews, 2 of which have led to A's. The third school doesn't get back to me until March. Since that third interview, I've been rejected by 12 schools. I still have 13 schools to hear back from. I sent an update letter to those schools this week. I'm just freaking out a bit by the radio silence from so many schools, and wondering if anyone has any advice/if this is normal/if anyone else is in the same position. I feel like it's getting late in the cycle, and I'm pretty anxious that I won't get any more IIs, even though I know I am so lucky to have already the results I do have.

Any advice is appreciated, thanks so much.

Congratulations on 2 offers of admission!
My advice is to spend time learning about both of them so you can make a final selection and start medical school this summer.

I'm waiting on 29 schools to get back to me. I consider my cycle over at this point given how hard it would be to get me to put on the suit again and go through the whole interview prep process again. Hogwarts Medical School would have to send an owl, basically.

What is it that you are looking for exactly? An acceptance? Well you got it, now go become a doctor. Are you looking for more acceptances? How many people do you know that are walking around with multiple acceptances?

I had just received my first (and only) two invites at this same time of year when I was in your boots. I got one acceptance, one waitlist. Every other program was radio silence/rejection.

Be thankful for your acceptances! If those aren't your top choices, certainly keep your hopes up and send consider sending a personalized update letter to them (I'm not sure those help but my guess it it won't hurt), but walk around confident/happy that you'll become a doctor!
