Seems like a lot people are getting invites and I have yet to receive any. I've only received one acknowledgment and zero rejections. Can this be seen as a positive thing?
A lot of rejections won't come out until the very end of interview season, just because there's no incentive for a program to do so. They could wind up having more people decline interviews than usual and extend invites to more people than they anticipated. So "zero rejections" doesn't mean much. It just depends on your specialty, and whether you're hearing about people getting invites from the programs you applied to or not.
Depends on your specialty when you will receive invites. If others in your specialty are receiving invites, then you’re likely less competitive overall. But it’s still early. If you don’t hear anything by mid to late October, you can try contacting programs you have a strong interest in.
