hi, i got a q. 😕 i have not heard from any schools, even though i applied early in jun. My stat is 19/20 and 3.2 (undergraduate math major) and 3.55 (post bac). I have no idea what's going on. I see a lot of people get interviews.. My q is there is possiblity that i will get an interview after 12/1, am i right? Help please😍

to be truthful....I'm still trying to be extremely optimistic...but the schools that haven't said anything to me yet...I think my chance of getting some luvin' there is not as good.

I think it's bad. From what I've gathered by observing trends from past years -by now, no news means you're in the rejection pile but they havent gotten around to sending you the letter just yet. If you're lucky, they might go over the rejection pile one more time and pick out a few for the waiting list.

Personally, The only thing I'm going to receive from the schools I havent heard from are rejections and so far I'm right about one school. I expect to be right about the other two as well.

Sad, but it's better to accept it and move on to make the next moves. I'm already making mines. Post-bac programs anyone?

for your particular case, I'm assuming that they have at least let you know that your application is received and complete in some way already right? via email/mail/aadsas?

If you haven't even received this exchange then you definitely need to contact them and see what's up. A short little email should do the trick.

hey, blue-moon. thanks for your advice. Yeah i called them to make sure they have everything. And i am waiting. Marquette said that they are filled with interviewers for pre 12/1, so they will pick after 12/1, and the others i don't know. Do you think that schools still offer interviews these days? thanks👍 👍

Hey, just be optismistic. Although bluemoon may be right, that is just her/his opinion. The truth is no one here really knows. We can make well educated speculations but they always end up being wrong. If you look on predents, plenty of people got interviews post-december and still got in. So, dont give up yet and keep calling the adcoms to make sure they have everything they need.

P.S. You probably realized that people here are overachievers and sometimes can be pessimistic. Don't buy into it, there are always exceptions. To say that bc you havent heard from them means your file is in the rejection pile is a pretty bold assumption.

if it makes u feel better, there is a lot of us that haven't heard from bunch of schools yet. But I know that Dec 1st is not a deadline, just the beginning of the admission cycle. So, there is still plenty of time. Most schools will only send out few acceptances on Dec. 1st and still continue to interview and fill in as they go. Besides, I think ur stats are competitive, depending on which schools did u apply to, I think ur chances are good.

Good luck. And i can see why blue moon said what he/she said, bc he/she is prepared for the worst, and already thinking of doing something to improve for the next application cycle. If not this year, then next year for sure!! But, there is still plenty of time. Hang in there.

Most schools will only send out few acceptances on Dec. 1st and still continue to interview and fill in as they go.

The only school that I applied to that I don't expect to send out a jit load of acceptances is Boston and UDM.(Because of their late start) All the others that I applied to will try to fill asap. At the very least half of the class will be offered.

So IMO, "few" acceptances going out on dec one may not be accurate. (at least for my schools)

Marquette, Case, Nova, Ohio State, Temple for example will fill as fast as they can.

VCU,UNLV, and others will send out at least half.

Maybe I just don't know what you mean by a few and what schools you are referring to.
