I know we've talked about this at lenghth recently, and I know it's not long after the winter break, but has anyone heard from UCLA regarding either a rejection, pre-seconary or news about a secondary recently?

I just checked it and saw that I got approved for a secondary on 1/7, and had been complete for several months. They don't send an email or anything so I wouldn't have known otherwise.

Am very fed up with UCLA.... went there for undergrad and have competitive stats/application for their standards and have not received a secondary yet. My UC app was complete on 8/22. I called them once and they told me that all decisions regarding secondaries will be DEFINTELY decided by the end of January. As you can see from the previous reply.... some secondaries are coming now (1/7).
Maybe it's a UC thing. I did get a 2dary in October from UCLA, but I'm still waiting to hear about 2dary from UCSF and UCSD. I was only told that there is no absolute deadline for 2daries. We're all still in it. BTW, I haven't heard anything since submitting to UCLA. The UCs are a real pain.

Triangulation, I just got my UCSF secondary last week (and they'd had my app. since Sept.) So you could very well still receive one.
BTW, w/UCSD, make sure they have your mcat scores. For me, they told me they had my mcats, but when I didn't receive a secondary for months, I called them. They told me: oh we send secondaries out until Feb.
A month goes by. I get an email: please send us your mcat scores. !!! As soon as I did that, they sent me the secondary. Be prepared to write an autobiographical sketch for your essay, with the following caution indicated on the app "this should be a true autobiographical sketch" They have to tell us not to MAKE UP the autobiography? Weird!

Thanks YBee. I called long ago to make sure they had my MCATs, so that's not it, in fact when Yvonne saw my scores she was convinced they'd be sending me a 2dary the next week. I called the following wk and she then said they weren't ready to send one at that time. F*ckin' sucks!! I realize that a lot of this was my own fault. I applied late, and then sent in my 1st batch of 2daries late including UCLA and SC. I was on top of it for UCI and Stanford, but I definitely feel like a squandered an opportunity. That's cool you got one from SF. Give 'em hell. 😉

I hear you Jefe. It seems like every ad staff person I call tells me 6-8 wks I'll be hearing sumthin' (that call being 6-8 wks from the first time I called.) If your "3 mos to hear 'bout I.V." is right, then I'm a mo. away from hearing from LA. Even worse for Irvine.
