I hope to keep a master list of updated scholarships in this thread that are "private", ie, not funded by gov't money. Please feel free to post in the thread if you know of something that is not yet listed:

VFW Sport Clips Help a Hero Scholarship: Available for retired, honorably discharged, AD or member of the Reserves / National Guard.
Student Veteran Support

War Veterans Scholarship: Available for AD, honorably discharged veterans (including reservists and national guard personnel) that were involved in Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan or Iraqi Freedom Operations ('04 - present). Must be enrolled and attending classes in undergrad with a STEM major degree program.

Honorably Discharged, Separated or Retired Veterans Who Move to Texas Tuition Waiver Program: To provide an immediate waiver of nonresident tuition to the veteran, spouse and dependent children who move to Texas upon separation from the military.
