I have a couple thermo questions:
1) I'm confused about Non-PV work. I know PV work is done when there's a change in volume. On the MCAT, the pressure will always be constant for PV work. But, I don't understand what non-PV work is and how it relates to gibbs free energy. Can someone please explain this to me?
2) There's an equation in the EK book for entropy that doesn't make sense to me:
Delta S = q (reversible) / T
Why is to so important for the process to be reversible?
Thanks guys!
