Quick question:

I know these schools aren't rolling, but is there any advantage to interviewing earlier? I just got a Duke interview, and am trying to decide whether to interview in early January (when I'll be busy with other interviews), or to push it off until later in the month. Any thoughts?

I pushed any non-rolling school to later in my interview process. I don't think it puts you at a disadvantage - they take all of the applicants and rank them, so the timing of your interview doesn't matter.

I suppose there could be some theories that if you go early, you are the yardstick by which every other applicant is measured.... but there are also theories that people reserve higher marks for later in the process. Honestly I don't think it matters.
