does a LOR from your academic advisor constitute as a non-science LOR?
I'm sure schools have different policies on this but what do you guys think?

You could try to ask the individual schools. Non-science LOR should be from a prof you had in a non-science class. It's a way to gauge your non-science academic prowess.
