    Hello SDNers,

Does AMCAS actually include *nondegree* coursework in the AMCAS GPA. I know we are required to list all courses, but I would like insight regarding the AMCAS GPA.

For instance, do they include the following courses in the AMCAS GPA: swimming, piano, vocabulary building, grammar building, Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, etc, etc

    Any help would be appreciated.
    :)

exMike, thanks for the feedback. I am aware that all college coursework must be listed. My question is whether they include nondegree coursework in the AMCAS *GPA*.

    I am sorry I wasn't clear initially.

everything you got a grade for will count towards your amcas gpa. you will have three gpas...BCPM or science, non-science, and overall. they will also calculate it for each year (frosh, soph, etc) and overall. thats about 4x5 or 20 gpas if i remember correctly. your amcas gpa will be pretty much exactly equal to your transcript gpa. (and im pretty sure all the schools you attended will be combined into one. you must list everything)....so i guess the answer to your question, is EVERYTHING counts like exmike said.

    hope that helps.
