You have a good list and should receive several interviews. You could add Temple, St. Louis, Tulane, Quinnipiac and Oakland Beaumont.

Thank you @Faha ! I will add temple, quinnipac, and Oakland Beaumont. Tulane I think I will think about due to location.

Any additional input would be appreciated!! Especially about SMP programs. Does good performance at the Georgetown SMP make it easier to get your foot in the door at GW or Georgetown?

Tulane you should 100% add because they love non-trads with lower gpas (upward trends) and big MCATS. Also look at UMiami..... Wayne State only takes your last 60 credits to calculate the GPA, but you may be above their GPA threshold (still maybe worth looking into)

I have similar numbers as you, ECs also pretty similar. I'm finishing GT's SMP right now. If you place in the top 40-50% of the class GPA-wise, you are guaranteed an interview. So, yes, foot in the door at GT. Not so much with GW, they more or less don't really care about you. pm me if you want more info on the program. Wayne State (I'm OOS to MI btw) was one of my few interviews this past cycle. They seem to value reinvention and high MCAT/low GPA cases. Unfortunately I was waitlisted, but hope this helped

Thank you for the info! I will add Tulane and take Miami off of "maybe". What do you mean above the GPA threshold for Wayne State?

Do people think I have a wide enough range of schools on here? Should I try to add more safety/target/reach schools? Thank you!

I assume you have HBCU's on your list because you are black? If that is so, with that MCAT and 4.0 post-bacc, I think you should be aiming a lot higher. Not saying to ditch all of the low and mid tiers, but I am saying you seem to stand a good chance to get into a great school.

I am considering not disclosing race because of family life issues I don't want to discuss at interviews. If it would significantly help my chances, maybe I will list my race (which is mixed including URM). I'm not sure how to adjust a school list based on URM status.

@Goro @gyngyn @GrapesofRath if any of you have the time, would you mind providing input on how I should adjust school list based on URM status and my stats/ECs? Thank you in advance :)

If you are black, apply to the HBCUs. If you are not black, do not apply to HBCUs.

And frankly, yes, a black or other URM applicant with your stats would have much greater chances.

What race you identify as for your app will have an enormous impact on the advice given, frankly it's hard to really give accurate input without knowing it.

I would identify both as black and my other race (ORM)
