Hi. So a little bit of background. I enrolled in my first undergrad school more than 10 years ago. I ended up leaving the school after two years with a 1.3 GPA and multiple F's on my transcript in various mathematics, computer science, and a physics course. I decided to go back to school in 2017 and attended a community college where I received my degree in Psychology. I am now currently attending a 4 year school on a premed track. My science GPA (excluding my first college record) is a 4.0 (full year of gen chem, bio, and 1 semester of orgo. All premed courses taken at this 4 year school.) and my cumulative GPA is 3.8. I have a ton of hours volunteering, shadowing, and working in a hospital. I feel I would be a pretty competitive applicant had it not been for my initial college record. I guess the question I want to ask is will my previous academic hinder my ability to get into an MD program? Thank you!
Nope. You have shown that the you of now is not the you of then.
