Just discovered this website and I must say wow. But now I am very worried. Would love any comments on my status as an applicant. I am 27 years old....wasn't focused as an undergrad and had a poor GPA; went to grad school and did exceptionally well....applying to med school now. I applied really late (oct 25th) and have gotten a few secondaries back. Still trying to get some letters of recommendations because of the various nature of these secondary applications. I really appreciate any assistance....here is my profile that I created.

Just os you know there is a whole forum for non-trad students :D

As you know you are applying "late" in the game and with a low gpa that might be an issue for you ... Had you tried to get your undergrad GPA up? That's really goign to hurt you with schools that use "Formulas" to screen applicants.

Sorry, but my opinion is that it's going to be tough for you. You GPA is very low, your MCAT is also low. While your ECs seem good, they may not be enough. I would work on getting your MCAT up, and do a post-bac to improve your GPA. Also, you are applying very late in the cycle.

Since there's an existing thread in the non-trad forum I'm going to close this one as cross-posting isn't allowed.

Good luck!
