North American seeking New Zealand Externship Opportunity

Hey, I am new to this forum and saw a previous post where someone was looking for a rotation in New Zealand. Another individual provided a link, but when I tried clicking it, the webpage did not work.

I am currently a 3rd year vet student at University of Georgia and have been looking into doing a externship rotation in New Zealand. Any tips or ideas on the best way to do this or where to begin?? I thought about contacting Massey directly but wanted to see if anyone had any other recommendations so I would be able to "see practice". Thanks in advance!

What kind of externship are you looking for? What kind of clinic?
If you just want to work at clinics, then there are clinics throughout NZ for you to do that, especially large/ mixed animal clinics. Small animal clinics tend to cluster around bigger cities so try Auckland/ Wellington.

If you want to be at the vet hospital then directly contact the vet admin office at Massey would be the best.

I am not too picky in regards to what type of specialty I am interested in, but I have a focus on small animal medicine and really enjoy surgery... so anything related to that would be nice. I have found out about Veterinary Specialist Group in Auckland but am open to hear about other specialty hospitals that are recommended. Thanks
