  1. Pre-Medical
Here's some things I'm thinking about regarding my future (in order of priority)
  1. Currently interested in Ophthalmology, ENT, Rads, Neuro, Psych for residency, and I ultimately want to match back into California
  2. Planning on finding a partner in med school, so I prefer to live in a big (LGBTQ+) city where there's a lot of people and lots to see/do
  3. Would like to save on cost as much as possible.
  4. Would like to get an MBA along with the MD, and I hear prestige of MBA programs matters more than prestige of MD programs.
Northwestern (Feinberg):

Weill Cornell:

A list of pros/cons for each to accompany your explanation would be nice and appreciated!

Thank you!

They have similar prestige and they both have highly esteemed hospital systems that serve populations in large urban areas...nobody will be able to give you useful opinions/perspectives until we know your pros and cons. We don't know where you want to live, where you want to match, what you want to match in, what kind of curriculum you want, financial aid, nothing lol

Cornell recently started offering good financial aid package. Check where it is better and go there.

Unless you're getting a better financial aid offer from Weill, I'd go with Feinberg. They rank better in PD (13 vs 23) and US News (15 vs 19) rankings and have been climbing the ranks over the years.

Weill also has a great global health problem if you're interested in that.

Right. As someone who is going to Cornell, I felt just how much worse the school got overnight.

Johnson isn't the strongest MBA program, Northwestern seems to have a slightly stronger MD and a much better MBA. I do think NYC > Chicago, but Chicago isn't the boonies either

Small edge in MD quality to Northwestern, in a topnotch location in Chicago. Cornell has just as good of a location (if not better) in Upper East Side Manhattan. Agreed that NYC > Chicago, and Weill Cornell may have some recent starpower with Dr. Fauci. 2 great programs that will get you wherever you want to go. Either way, congrats future doctor!
