Northwestern Status

I am delighted to report that, after four months of checking the Northwestern status page at least three times daily only to find that "receipt of my application materials cannot be verified electronically at this time", I logged on today to find that my application was indeed received last September.

That's right folks. No longer does the page taunt me be apologizing for any "convenience" the good folks at Northwestern may be causing me. Those days are long gone! Today marks a major milestone on my inexorable path toward a rejection letter, and I just wanted to share the happy occasion with the SDN community.

(All sarcasm aside, if you've given up on the Northwestern status check page, you might want to check it again, as it seems to be working now.)

I, too, was surprised by this change of the webpage. Although it's not an interview, it is the first change on an online status page I've seen in two months...

My application was complete on 9/13.

And I checked it this morning and got the "convenience" message. It's funny that no one has pointed that out to them. I guess no one wants to endanger their app by being the smartass that corrects them.

What's this "convenience" message you have? I don't think I have it.

Until recently, Northwestern's status check page said:

"Receipt of your application cannot be verified electronically at this time.... We regret any convenience this may cause you."

Northwestern may have caused me many things, but I assure you CONVENIENCE is not one of them.

While I am glad that "my inconvenience" was relieved by accurate reporting of secondary receipt (it did take so long them to get that back up, especially since they had the correct info up for me before this 'inconvenience'fiasco). Actually I am looking for a change in Application status from "still under consideration" to "final decision". Preferably on Feb 15th! Good luck to all!

I am right there with you in terms of waiting for NUMS--I interviewed on 11/9/01 and am still waiting...hopefully 2/15 will be our lucky day!

hmm.. awfully strange coincidence.
Yesterday out of the blue I decide to call them just to make sure my status is complete because the webpage was STILL not showing anything. She verifies that indeed my file is under review and goes on to tell me that the webpage has been causing errors and when I ask if/when it will be fixed she wishfully said 'hopefully soon'
