I am a Portuguese medical doctor, trained outside the European Union (in Mozambique). I have recognition of my diploma and am fully licensed for medical practice in Portugal. I completed general internship in Portugal (equivalent to turnustjeneste in Norway). I am in my third year of specialized medical training in immunohemotherapy.
I want to apply for permanent registration to work as a medical doctor in Norway. I would like to know if:
1) Will I need to undergo any type of exam to have my medical diploma recognized in Norway? Or will the recognition of my medical degree by a EU country plus the fact that i'm currently in my third year of medical specialized training, be taken in account?
2) Will I need to repeat the preliminary internship (turnustjeneste)?
