Hello all,

I've searched this but didn't get a good answer.

So I took the July 2 MCAT and submitted my AMCAS a couple days later. For the "Standardized Test" section, it asked about futures test dates and specifically said to click "yes" for upcoming or recently taken MCAT exams. Since I took the MCAT a couple days before submitting, I clicked "Yes."

I received my score this past Tuesday and am not retaking MCAT. The same day I received my score, I added more schools to my list. Today, as I was checking my AMCAS, I made sure that my MCAT score was loaded (which it was), but I noticed that the "Yes" still indicated that I was anticipating a new score. I just changed it to "No" since schools should not expect a new MCAT score.

I am wondering if this has negatively impacted my application in any way. I know that schools do not look at apps until the new score is in. Will my application move up in the pile of apps? I am still waiting to be verified, but I'm a little worried that schools will be confused about a future MCAT score. I added schools that do not pre-screen for secondaries, and I have only received one secondary from the list so far.

Thank you!

It wont affect your AMCAS in any way shape or form. As long as you have it changed to no it shouldn't be a problem especially since you are not verified. Even if you were verified, schools update their amcas downloads fairly often so that they have the latest possible application for everyone. Good luck
