Not taking a course -- necessary to update schools?

I contacted AMCAS regarding this question and they didn't provide a clear answer. On my AMCAS I listed a future course that I did not take (working full time instead). How do I (if its necessary) update schools with this info? Do I need to send a letter to each school?

I wouldnt worry about it, if its not a required course to enroll in the medschool.

I switched a course (one chem for another chem, both not prereqs) and didn't think anything of it until I got an acceptance letter that stated my acceptance was contingent on me completing all the courses I listed on my application. So . . . after seeing that, I made sure to send an update letter to everyone. It's a pain, but do it just to CYA.
