Isn't it interesting that NOVA (no va) means "it doesn't go" in Spanish? That's why they had to change the name of the Chevy Nova when they tried to sell it in Latin America.
Check out the NSU-CDM2006 website (the address is in your Orientation Packet). Several classmates are registered on the site.
FYI-Alabama. In English, Nova means a star that, over a brief period, becomes much brighter, hence (NSU-CDM). As for the Spanish meaning of Nova, I guess it made alot of sense to change the name from "it doesn't go" to "Chevy--it doesn't go" (they wanted to be more specific).
Sheeesh. I wasn't trying to put down NOVA or anything. No need to get defensive or give English lessons (tempting as it might be since I'm from Alabama). I was really just making an observation.
I am a member in NSU-CDM already.
I posted this add so people get involved and know about NOVA.
I am glad i learned about both meaning of NOVA in Spanish and in English
I haven't got my orientaion package yet ,soon hopefully
Please email ur thoughts and keep NOVA going and going and going.....
