Yeah, so I have a test in 2 1/2 hours that I'm COMPLETELY unprepared for and I can't bring myself to study for it. If I screw it up, I'll get a B in the class. I have never had less motivation than I have right now, and I thought senioritis was bad before! Anyone else in this boat? I'm thinkin of coasting for the rest of senior year 😎

Well, toss me the sunscreen, cuz we're definitely in the same boat, Jubilee, and I'm not planning on getting up off this lounge chair any time soon. Care for a margarita?

yeah, you know I'll take one. I have to get relaxed for my exam, lol

Word. I have never been this way before, and I have no idea how to turn it around. I was registering for classes for next semester the other day and I was rejecting ideas left and right... "too hard," "too much reading," "too many papers," etc., etc. I just can't get excited about anything except starting med school!

I can rationalize it and say that I want an easy semester because it may be the last one I'll be spending in the same place as my boyfriend, but, honestly, I think I've just got the worst case of senioritis ever. 🙁

I'd actually really like to not be this way, so if anyone has any tips, I'd love to hear them!

I just did my sched. for next semester and have thursdays and fridays off!! looks like a ski trip every week for me 🙂

Getting into med school has def. upped my senioritis

Well, i graduate in about...three weeks and I can not bring myself to study anymore.

I am in jeopardy of a C in my linear algebra class (long story)...but I don't really care....

Seriously, I have so much stuff due before and after Thanksgiving break and I'm going to San Antonio with my boyfriend this weekend instead of studying. I figure, I won't be able to go on random trips in med school, so why not do it now?

i'm not even in yet and i still dont five a f*ck about undergrad. killer.

I dont blame you. I would do the same thing.

I hate you. Not really, but kinda. Even if I had four-day weekends, there's nothing worth skiing around here... Well, maybe I can find something worth skiing occasionally...

Hmmm. If I drop an interview, and therefore get more $ that would have been spent on a plane trip, can I instead use that for a trip to, say, Colorado?

i'm only taking one class this semester and i still can't even pay attention to that...

Guys, all I have are interviews. I'm not even in anywhere yet and I am finding it incredibly difficult to do anything regarding school work.

It doesn't help that our prof. for anthropology class is letting us get away with late papers with no penalty. Oh man!!!

I'm gonna see if i can write a sentence or two today.

Hopefully I'll have your problem in two weeks. Wait, I graduate in two weeks. Oh well! I understand your pain, and wish I could have your little problem right now :luck:

Oh yeah, you're from U of H? What year?

Man, I live in the real world where people have JOBS. I can't afford to slack like you young'uns. 🙁

Oh well, enjoy it while it lasts, because it won't be that way for long.

Heh. I left the real world of jobs to go back to school. It's not just a young'un thing. On the flip side, I am fully aware of how good I have it. 😀

I think most of us know very well that things r a lot different in the realworld. its not a young'un thing, u would do the same if u were in our shoes despite ur age...its a very natural process to ease up and slack a lil when things r comfortable.

It's also a very natural process to use proper grammar.

Graduating in about 4 weeks. I have completely checked out of college at this point. Once I got into a school nothing else matters to me. Wheeeeeee.

Has anyone heard of med schools getting pissed for getting ONE or TWO C's senior year? They can't reject you for that or put you on some kind of probation can they?

Actually, it's not. The vast majority of the population routinely uses improper grammar.

LOL, sod. Point taken. That's one of my pet peeves, actually. No hope of that changing anytime soon, I suppose.

I just hate it when I feel like I need to get out my decoder ring to read some of these posts.

I've got my Little Orphan Annie Decoder Ring beside me right now. And I only had to drink 20 gallons of Ovaltine to get it! 😉

It depends on the school. I'm sure LadyJubilee will be pleased to note (as I was) that when I was at BCM for my interview, someone asked Dr. Michael "So, under what circumstances would you rescind an acceptance?" . . . his response was (verbatim) "Just don't commit any felonies".

👍 Reason number 385 why BCM is great.

eh, some of the biggest slackers I know are those with full-time jobs and are not in school

OVALTINE ROCKS!!

It's chock-full of vitamins and minerals...everything we senior citizens need to keep moving. And it certainly beats Ensure...their chocolate flavor tastes like...chalk.

And it's tough to slack on a full-time job. Especially if you want to keep a roof over your head, food on the table, and clothes on your back. 🙂

not to imply in the least that you are a slacker, but I'd like to invite you to come visit my dad's place of work. He has hired many an employee that slacks off on a regular basis. The ones that slack off too much get fired, of course, but he has more than a few permanent fixtures at the company who like to take their sweet ol' time.
