Hey guys!! I'm currently deciding between these two schools. I am OOS for both. I enjoyed both of their locations as well and would not mind living in either. I truly loved my interview day at both schools and can see myself attending either. In my eyes, they're almost equivalent with some quirks here and there. I would love for someone to give me some advice and their thoughts on each school!
NSU-KPCOM
Pros:
-More established
-Loved the Ft. Lauderdale area!
-Great research opportunities
-Loved how there were multiple different health professional programs housed in one building, it gave a nice community feel.
-Rotations are very strong and in the area.
Cons:
-Estimated slightly higher tuition than MU-COM
-COL in SoFlo
-Decreasing board scores over the recent years
-Dress Code (Blue Scrubs, tbh not that bad of a dress code but whatever lol)
MU-COM
Pros:
-Great research opportunities in the surrounding area with Eli Lilly and IU
-Strong rotations and partnerships with hospitals that are close by
-No dress code
-Slightly lower tuition than NSU-KPCOM
-Loved the Indy area
-COL seemed to be reasonable
Cons:
-Fairly new school with only one class being matched thus far
-The school seemed to be somewhat distant from the main parts of Indy (tbh like only 20 min so not terrible)
