Kentucky,
AADSAS people would have no idea how many seats are left or open at a particular school. AADSAS are strictly application processing people, they know nothing about who's accepted or who's not.
The best bet, again, contact your school of concern, if they don't tell you specifically or directly, then I'm afraid that you are out of luck. This is what I would do, I would try email different people at that particular school, the Dean, the admissions director/coordinator, or the assistant admissions director/coordinator, or even the assistant dean of admissions to get your name out. The bottom line is to try to get a hold of as many people at that school as you can to get info.
For me, the schools that concerns me, they're usually pretty good with me about telling me what I'm trying to find out. Just like everyone else, I get general responses all the time. Be persistant, but not annoying. If your status is the "waiting list/on hold", I would just wait and wait, and wait! To be honest, once you're on the waiting list, schools won't care about you until they have interviewed everyone that they want to interview to the end of the application cycle. That usually defines that you will not hear from that particular school until LATE!!
