Greetings all!

Have any of you gone from the Navy Nurse Corps to the Navy Medical Corps? If so, what was that process like?
I know HPSP, HPCP and USUHS are the options to go to medical school, but I'm more so asking about the transition from being active duty, going to school, and then recommissioning into another medical service.

Thanks in advacne!

Going from AD to med school to AD goes like this. You apply for medical school and whatever method to pay for it at the same time. Once you have your acceptance to school and scholarship (or USU if applicable) you will request a release from AD and resign your commission. You will then be recommissioned (or enlisted with HSCP) to start your program/school. Once you have completed school, you will be commissioned as a LT (or LCDR if you have over 12 years of prior commissioned service.) in the MC.
