I was checking medschooready.com school stats and came acroos big discrepancy between instate and outstate. Is this simply sample size problem or does it really have significant (easier for ny state residents even to privates md schools?!?)? What do you think?

I think medschoolready only counts the number of applicants who matriculate, rather than the number accepted, which should be more. I wouldn't trust that site with respect to those ratios.

They likely favor NY residents simply because NY residents are more likely to attend.
