Hello. Im an MSI at NYCOM 2010 and would like to know about the clinical rotation sites for NYCOM and how far they are from the school. Does anyone have suggestions on the best places to find housing while doing rotations. I would like to find a place between the furthest clinical site and NYCOM. Any tips?

Hey buddy,

NYCOMEC sites: http://iris.nyit.edu/~nycomec/

Clerkships: http://iris.nyit.edu/nycom/Academics_Clinical_Clerkships.htm

I dunno if this helps or if you've looked at it already, but if you want to know commute times, etc you could just lookup the name of the hospital and googlemap or mapquest it. As far as housing, it seems as though most are closeby/within commuting distance so you may not have to relocate. Hearing what other students at other schools have to go through, I'm thankful for that.

On the Still site under I think the 3rd or 4th yr section they have the actaul clerkship hospital and rotations they offer. I was planning on doing 3rd yr at a hospital that offers all the rotations in either Queens or Brooklyn that way I wouldn't have to move around and if I did I would just try and move to a hospital in that borough. But its a good question b/c i was wondering the same thing.
