NYMC - anyone been rejected pre-interview?

Is NYMC waiting until the last minute to reject everyone? I've been complete there since Sept and I haven't heard anything. I'm assuming this is bad news.

Me too. I have been complete since 10/07/02 and I keep checking the damn website, but no change. I fear the worst.

Same situation here. Been complete since 9/27. It seems as though they took my $100 deposit and bought beers for the admissions staff. Oh well, I'm glad they didn't invite me so i didn't have to waste my money flying to NY to interview at a place that I wouldn't really want to attend.

you guys, i feel your pain. i tried calling the admissions office and the person was totally rude. i felt like nothing would make that person happier than to get off the phone with me.

I did see a recent posting where they have invited people to interview since March 1st and another posting in which they have sent out a few pre-interview rejections.

Unfortunately, I have been complete since November and haven't heard a peep out of them! I too, feel as if this is not good news.

I thought I was the only one without a word from them! Not that this is better. . . but after having called the admissions office I am not even sure I'd like to go there. They were totally rude and dismissive. However, I'd like to know already whether to have any hope or not. I know only one person that applied and got in already and he interviewed back in October. Well, hope for the best right?

NYMC is probably the worst medical school among medical schools. Don't expect anything more than their admissions committee. Rumor is they've sent invitations for interiew to people last year and rescinded them. As it stands, they've been known as the state school.

Me: hi I am calling to check on the status of my application since it has been complete since september.
Them: Did you check the website?
Me: Yep, it just says complete.
Them: Well that is it then, they are still reviewing them

If they can't review a damn file in 7 months, God help them. Same goes for MCW.
