Hi,

I just got accepted to NYUCD... I don't live in NY and I was wondering if anyone else is going there... ans would be leasing an apt. or something

congrats on your acceptance,

you should look for an off-campus housing as soon as possible, and
have a lease complete at least by May.

I live in Stuyvesant Town, with two other roommates,
I pay $1180/month + $33 utility (only cable and internet)
Stuyvesant town has electricity, water, heat included in the rent.

I highly recommend that place being near the school, (~7 min walking)
but other people prefer Waterside Plaza because of the view.

I found that apartment expensive, and the utility is not included...

P.M. me if you have more questions

Wow Yun, you're paying 1180? Did you get the 2br converted to a 3? How much are the other guys paying?

Stuytown is one of those places that requires a cosigner and does not allow you to put down a deposit instead. Their rent is usually 1250 a person (give or take 100 depending onhow you divide up the rent) You can check them out at http://www.stuytown.com/

Waterside can work out to about 1350 a person (again, give or take 100 or so depending on how you end up dividing the rent). They let you put down a deposit or get a cosigner. You can check them out at http://watersideplaza.com/

Kips bay is the most conveniently located but it's also the most expensive (still can get under 1500 a person if you get roommates). You can check it out at http://www.kipsbaycourt.com/
