Program Description: Hamilton has been a clinic site with NYU Lutheran Medical Center’s AEGD residency program since 2011. We are now in our 5th cycle of AEGD residents.
Our clinics have three dental specialists, Periodontics, OMFS Pathology and Prosthodontics, as part of our faculty accompanied by strong general dentists who are part of our program. Our dental residents who have completed Hamilton’s AEGD residency Program are ready to deliver comprehensive, quality, fast paced dentistry. Our residents gain knowledge and experience with treatment planning, presenting a case to the patient, and motivating the patient to complete treatment. They also gain knowledge and experience in the following areas: crown and bridge, endodontics, periodontics, surgery, complex oral surgery, removable RPD’s and dentures, narrow body implant placement and restoration. In 2017 our main clinic will soon add CEREC technology to our treatment options.Our dental department participates in community outreach health fairs and is actively involved with the Greater Flint Oral Health Coalition and residents will learn to work with a large support staff while gaining confidence.
