Hello all,
Longtime lurker here. I have been incredibly lucky this application cycle and have some tough choices to make. I am really torn between these schools however, I am more drawn to the Manhattan schools than Hofstra. I really liked Hofstra's curriculum and they really impressed me during second look but the location and potentially better residency match opportunities at the other schools is making it difficult to justify going there. However, turning down a full tuition scholarship is so difficult!
As far as NYU and Cornell go, it is really a toss up. The cost would be about equal as is their reputation (IMO). I got a better vibe from NYU during interview day but still waiting to see how second looks go. I also like that NYU's 1.5 year curriculum is a bit more established than Cornell's. But the research and global health opportunities seemed better at Cornell. However, NYU's patient population is a huge draw for me and I would love to do my rotations at Bellevue.
Thanks for the help!
