Hello,
Most of the dental schools I am applying to state in their admissions requirements that two semesters of organic chem with lab are required, and that biochem lab is recommended. I earned 8 organic chemistry credit hours, but only the first semester required the lab (4 credits first semester lecture, 1 credit lab, 3 credits second semester lecture = 8 credit hours). I also did not take biochemistry lab. I am currently earning an MPH at a different institution in a different city.
My question is this: can dental schools stray at all from these lab requirements? If not, do they allow for conditional acceptance if the applicant takes the lab in the fall or spring of the year before matriculation?
Thanks in advance for your replies.
