I know this is going to sound really stupid but has anyone ever heard of O.Chem 1 not having a lab? 😕 My school doesn't offer it. I am so confused.

Check if it has a different name. If not you need to get into a lab because that is part of the med school prerequisite is taking the lab.

Very bizarre, I've never heard of that.

My school has a two credit lab you take with ochem 2. A lot of schools do it this way.

Looking through your course catalog yours does too:

Organic Chemistry Lab (CHM 2211L) 2 credits
Prerequisite: CHM 2210 and 2211 (or 2211 as corequisite)
Corequisite: CHM 2211 (or 2211 as prerequisite)
Experimental study of the synthesis, purification, and identification of organic compounds using microscale techniques.

My school doesn't offer ochem lab for ochem 1 either. However, there are labs for the next two quarters of ochem.

Of course I have an adviser. My major is not in Science and my adviser knows nothing about being pre-med. She was convinced that I was trying to do a triple major when I tried to explain to her why I was taking so many science courses. *sigh*

Thank you though. I did find O.Chem 1 Lab but it is only for the honours college.

It's not weird. The University of Florida is exactly the same.

CHM 2210 Organic Chemistry 1
CHM 2211 Organic Chemistry 2
CHM 2211 Organic Chemistry lab (2 cr)

Taking a two credit ochem lab is the same as taking two one credits in separate semesters.
