OBs can subspecialize in maternal-fetal medicine. Sometimes it might be shown as perinatology/maternal-fetal medicine. Pediatricians can subspecialize in neonatology.
I just did a google scholar search on perinatology research. There seems to be a variety even in this small sample of recent publications.
