I was wondering if anyone knew the average number of people applying to dental school each year. How many spots are there vs. people applying! Thanks in advance.

There has recently been about 9000+ applicants for about 4000+ openings. The number of applicants is likely to increase in the near future because the health care sector is presently one of the few exceptions to the recent slowdown in the overall national economy.
