Official 2003 AMCAS application thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I don't know if you were informed about the AMCAS shortcomings last year..... muahahahahahhahahahahahahahha <gasp> hahahahahahahaha.

But seriously, the website was supposed to open May 1 last year, and I think I finally got on it May 25. I would not expect that same sort of delay again this year, but you can imagine >1000 anxious pre-meds trying to log on at once. The website might not be able to take it. It's like a twinkie put in front of Rosie O' Donnel, it never had a chance.

They'll prolly open it up at some strange hour... like 4:20pm. You never know, those AAMC people must be smoking something.

Oh I read a post few back and Pwrpfgrl said:

Today is April 30th. AMCAS goes "Live" on may 8th. I expect that could change again...

Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I there an easy to fill out the application if you have the 2001-2002 application already filled out. I mean the personal and the transcript should be pretty much the same but it's a pain to fill out.

so wait...
if the "going on live" date is changed, does it mean that the "turn application in" date is also changed??

There is no place on their pages where it is said 8th. Today is 1-st and their application is not "live" yet.
