Got an interview there too, is it a good program? Couldn't find much about it.
Online presence is certainly a little sparse, I have to do more research and ask around. At a bare minimum will serve as a useful warm up, given how early they offered interview dates, lol.

Hey 2 quick questions:

1. My invite from UVA came via ERAS and had no specific contact listed to respond. I responded via ERAS messaging to their invite, but have not heard back. Was there a different way to contact them?
2. I got an email from Helen Bucher at Tufts inviting to an interview and stating that I would get more specific arrangements sent to me via ERAS messaging. Has anyone gotten the follow up and successfully scheduled?

Thanks!

Hey friend! I actually went to UVA for med school. Amazing place and the ID program is one of the best in the country. Many people don't realize that. I wrote back directly to Chris Moore ([email protected]) , the PD, to accept the interview. If you're shy about messaging the PD, you could also reach out to Ginny Atwell ([email protected]) who is the program coordinator. She's lovely.

Can't help you with Tufts. All the best on your interviews!

Not sure yet. I'm actually couples matching with my wife. She's amazing and applying in GI. We're feeling out programs on both coasts. Excited to meet a lot of people on the trail. Just looking up faculty before interviews is increasing my knowledge. As tiring as this process is going to be, there is an undeniable silver lining. :)

Hello all,

Does anyone know how's the program at UMass ?

Didn't find anything on UMass but did find some reviews of other programs. The author admits that these are not super objective reviews, but still forth reading.

Hi folks. Have been lurking and wanted to contribute. I've actually been an sdn member for ... 15yrs... though I haven't posted regularly in several years. Anyway, I don't want my profile full of stupid 20y/o premed babbling in the lounge to be in any way associated with my ID app, so here I am. (lest you think I'm a troll when I post about interviews with my very first post on the site).

Hi guys it looks like this thread hasn't seen as much discussion as the previous years so far. Would like to kicksart some talk other than just invitations:

Anyone attending interviews already? If so tell us about your experience!

Any rejections so far? NIH and Hopkins seem to have been sending rejections in the previous years. What about this year?

Have there been any second waves of invitations from previously mentioned places? Got one from UT Houston today but looks like they sent the first invitations way back.

Anyone hear from NYC programs yet?

What do you know about the Philly programs other than UPenn? (Also: One of
my attendings told me the UPenn program think they're God's gift to mankind is that true?)

Cheers and all the best for the interviews everyone!

None yet. I'm scheduled mostly in mid Sept to early Oct.
Haven't heard any rejections, thankfully. Not sure what others are hearing. I'm the only person in my year applying to ID from my program this year.
I've only heard good thinks about Penn. lol. Didn't apply other Philly programs though
