Official 2018-2019 Pediatric Emergency Medicine Match Cycle

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Another thing is that you don’t know the story. I may want to go to a program I see listed but haven’t heard from them, but maybe they have only invited their home people. Or maybe people are lying or working off second or third hand information.

But if you feel strongly about a program, give it a shot. The ones I see above aren’t ones I feel super strongly about so I am willing to wait for it.

@FrkyBgStok and @PedsDoc12 thanks for responding to my question. You both make excellent points. It may be too soon and what's the harm in emailing if I am not invited anyways. Good luck everyone!

Good for you Santi!!!! When did you hear from Nationwide, Cincinnati, and Johns if you don't mind me asking?

Yep no worries! Nationwide was this week, Cincinnati last week, and Hopkins a couple weeks ago. Good luck everyone!

Did anyone hear from the other programs at NY? Besides the ones mentioned above?

So I was playing around with the NRMP calendars (Match Calendars - The Match, National Resident Matching Program) and there is a pediatric specialties match and an emergency medicine match. I definitely applied to programs from both and have interviews from both. Anyone have experience with this? Maybe it will become clear when NRMP opens up but just noticed this difference.

Edit: figured it out. The EM match includes US and toxicology but both paths of PEM are included in the pediatric subspecialties match.

(just heard back yesterday for both!)

Has anyone heard from any of the southern California programs?

Hi there!

Now that people have matched (congratulations), I was wondering - what are you all using as study material (books, Qbanks, etc.) to study for the inservice exam?

Is RoshReview the go-to source for reviewing material?

Thanks!
