Noticed no threads yet. Has anyone submitted yet?

I decided to apply for an additional year of training. Still getting letters together again.

I've been reading these PASS/MATCH threads for years and now finally get to participate! lol... Havent submitted yet, waiting on 2 LOEs, need to get my 2x2 photo and scan some undergrad transcripts (have them on hand luckily).. currently studying for NBDE pt II... I plan to submit early August. Im predominately applying to the SE and Texas, all non-match programs. Good luck to all!

Hello! I just started a thread about ADEA PASS for GPR, but saw this thread and was hoping someone might be able to help. TIA! (message below)

Just a few general questions about GPR application through ADEA PASS and Match:
1. Do you rank your program on Match before or after your submit your ADEA PASS application?
2. Do the "Achievements" and "Experiences" fields need to be filled out, or is uploading a CV containing that information sufficient?
3. Is not having any current licenses considered a negative aspect to an application? (Graduating from dental school this May 2020)

Also, my program does not use GPA/Class Ranking. What can I do/add to my CV or personal statement to help with this? I've discussed this aspect with GPR program directors, and they just recommend having "a standout" CV and well-rounded with extracurriculars/community service/leadership, and that considering applicants from a Pass/Fail school can be difficult because of this. Any other tips?

1) I dont know, Im applying to all non-match but I THINK its after.
2) Definitely fill out the Achievements and Experiences! There were quite a few things I could list there that I couldnt on the CV due to room. Also it gives you an opportunity to expand upon what the achievement / experience was
3) Id say most dental students dont have any type of license, I wouldnt stress about that

Did you repeat information from the CV or no? Also there's a page limit for the CV?? I have 3 pages....

Thats excellent. I know a DDS who did exactly the same thing. Now will you be applying to a AEGD program or a GPR?

AEGD mostly. I might just stay in my current program and do a second year after looking at stuff over the last two weeks. I know the faculty, I know the systems and lab faculty. Theres always an adjustment period with new environments. I might be able to cover more ground here. Plus doing an additional year might help pad up the resume for future teaching. Still giving some thought though.

For sure man. I totally get it. How much surgical experience can they give you that second year? Can they guarantee an amount of implants you will place? --How does it work if there is prostho/perio/OS in your school.

I heard someone did 50 total in two years. I still gotta get more information.


Hows everyone coming along in the process?
 
Waiting for two more recs and my institutional evaluation. What's the going thought process on when you want to have everything submitted?

Yes I did. My PASS Experiences and Achievements is EVERYTHING while my CV is just the big / pertinent stuff.

Oh nice! 50 would be solid. I am interested in pediatric programs. However, I do not feel that I am competitive enough so I am looking at AEGD programs to start before applying pedo. Do you know any of your colleagues in this situation?
 
Heard from a friend she got interview at Salt City VA, options being Oct 7-10 and Oct 16

When did you submit for Augusta?
 
UVA GPR just sent interview dates. October 14, 18, and 21. Interview offers to be sent in the next couples of weeks!

One of my classmates said they sent an email with the schedule of everyone invited. I know they only interview one week
