Congrats. I have several clasmates who ended up there, I've heard great things about UTSW. Besides the benefit saving a lot of money, you should enjoy your time there.

What good is the match if everyone is getting letters in the mail. Well, since I didn't get a letter today, I must not have matched. Congrats to everyone who mathced!

I just think some school sent out the letters anticipating that they'd arrive after the match. My parents said the date on mine was Jan 30... I didn't know mail went from College Station to Houston in one day...

i didnt even know mail went from the mailbox to the mailtruck in one day...

I don't think that automatically means u didnt match. It hink it has to do with how close u live to the med school. I am in a dallas suburb so for them to mail something out on Friday when the office closes to my house shouldnt take three days.

i think the people closest to dallas get this luxury and everyone else further away prolly gets it on monday.

but yeah it does defeat the purpose of the match for some...but try telling that to the people that got accepted right now haha.

It happened in Houston, too. My husband paged me to let me know that I got a certified letter in the mail (he had to sign for it, so good thing he was home), from UT Houston, accepting me! The letter was dated January 30th.

I'll at least say i go to the University of Texas at Austin. 🙂 2 yrs of clinical research dealing with stress, brain activity, women's health. A summer in NYC observing patients at Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan, extensive volunteer experience, 2 yrs of leadership experience as secretary, treasurer, and vp of various organizations. A competitive MCAT score.

I posted this on another thread but I matched with SA last year and didn't get an acceptance letter from them until a week later and the mailing address was Austin--and the letter wasn't certified. so don't worry. good luck.

Ok i dont get it......did everyone who already know where they are going (BTW, congrats ) find out by mail or are the results up.....I am scared to check them now b/c in case it says nothing I might think that it might be because I haven't gotten in and freak out !!??

Snail mail. Most of us who live close by the med schools we matched to got our letters today.

Did you status page on UTSW change? I checked them, and nothing was different for me. I think Tech has a page to, and I am about to look for that to see if they have anything. Just wondering... Thanks for the support and encouragment. I am so anxious right now. I think all the Texas schools are great, but I am pulling for others mainly due to location, etc. So, I am so glad you got in where you wanted, hopefully I can say the same!

Yea. I agree, all the Texas med schools are great. They all have something unique about them and I'm so glad to be a Texan right now!!! Cheap tuition at wonderful institutions. It doesn't get much better than that. Best of luck to you.
