I know, I know. There have been multiple threads of this sort over the past few weeks. However, I want this one to be a little bit different. First of all, I wanted to try and consolidate everyone's wisdom into one central source. Additionally, besides just letting us know the specifics of your stats, I was hoping to gain a little more insight into what you though about each of the programs you interviewed at.

I saw a good thread on an ortho forum trying to accomplish the same thing. If you want to take a look at what I am trying to create, take a look at it here: http://www.orthogate.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7138&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=

Here is the template:

Med School: (Actual name or even just the region - Ranking if known)
Step 1 Score:
Class Rank:
AOA: (yes/no)
Preclinical Grades: (Honors, HP, P - whatever your school uses)
Clinical Rotations: (Honors, HP, P - whatever your school uses)
Away Rotations: (How many and where)
Research/Publications:
Letters: (anyone important?)
Other Stuff: (extracurricular activities, etc.)
What I was looking for in a program:
# of Programs Applied To:
# of Interviews Offered:
# of Interviews Attended:
Thoughts on Specifics Programs:
Matched At:
Other Advice for Future Applicants:

I hope that this thread will become a useful source to current and future anesthesiology applicants like myself. I thank anyone who takes the time to contribute.

(If anyone is worried about incriminating opinions or identifying information, please send a PM to member Arch Guilloti. He is a senior member here and an anesthesiology attending. He has posted similar information in an anonymous manner for other members in similar threads)

this is at least trebly redundant for this years applicant class. Search my friend, and you will find what you seek. Not everyone is going to post their medschool, rank list, gpa, and step scores for you. Some of us prefer a degree of anonymity, or at least the illusion thereof. Arch already anonymized a lot of this data on another thread, if you'll check that one out.

If you're applying for 2012, here is some advice that will likely obviate the need for another "Post my vitae" thread:
apply as broadly as you think you need to. That might be a dozen programs if you have high grades and scores. That might be three dozen if you don't. Anesthesia is still not that competitive, cast the net wide and decline interviews if you don't htink you need/can/can afford to go. Talk to the attendings and program directors at your school and ask what they think your chances are.
Get letters from anesthesiologists and intensivists. Get a letter from someone who is high on the academic ladder (i.e. full professor, PD, etc), but who can write a strong letter for you. Do an away if you're curious about a program or if it's somewhere you want to go really badly. You might love it, you might not, but at least you'll know.

Search, search, and search SDN. This stuff has been covered ad infinitum and ad nauseum.

Please bump the Official 2011 Match Stats thread and close this one.

I understand what you are both saying and see where you are coming from. However, with this thread I was hoping to get more in depth thoughts about specific programs that everyone interviewed at. Take a look at the thread I linked to. I didn't intend to just start another "stats" thread.

There is an [admittedly underutilized] Interview Feedback section of SDN for that.

Edit: although on second look it seems they've removed all of the useful comments that used to be posted about the programs.

The comments are still there, you just have to scroll to the bottom of the page the "Questions" link, underwhich are the positive and negative freetext postings.

If people have already posted on "threads of this sort over the past few weeks" what makes you think they are going to come back to repost everything just because you want "this one to be a little different"?
