Note: this is NOT a discussion thread, this thread is aimed to be a reference thread. If you have questions for a particular poster, then please direct your question directly to that person via PM or start another thread of your own.

PLEASE refrain from discussions, questions, and comments in this thread. Thank you!

However, please feel free to comment on any opinions you may have within the context of the standard format below. Please elaborate and be specific as much as possible. This thread will only be as good as those who are willing to contribute to it.

Standard Format:

1) Name of Your Med School

2) What is your examination schedule like? What is your daily schedule like?

3) What is the hardest class? Why?

4) What is the easiest class? Why?

5) Are your classmates generally gunners and try to sabatoge each other? If not, is the culture one where everybody tries to help everybody out?

6) Are the class notes based primarily on textbooks? or based on lectures?

7) What is the grading system? Pass/Fail? Letter Grades? Percentages?

8) Is there a notetaking service for lecture available? Recorded lectures available?

9) Is class attendance mandatory?

10) Dress code? Scrubs? Formal?

11) In general, are teachers approachable for questions? Or are they for the most part very busy and unreachable (research, etc...)?

12) What is the % first time board pass rate? What is the average score?

13) Do you get a block of time off before boards to study? If so, how long? If not, do you have to study simultaneously with classes?

14) Is there a library or somewhere other than your apartment or Starbucks where you can study quietly? Study rooms? Do most people study in the Library? Or does the place clear out right after school and everybody studies on their own?

15) Are there opportunities for clinical rotations out of state? How about out of country electives? If so, which ones? Describe typical 3rd and 4th yr clinicals?

16) Is there a rec center? What is there to do for fun?

17) What set this school apart from others? Any unique characteristics that are negative or positive that make this school different from others?

Please feel free to add any other potentially helpful information about your med school below! Multiple posts about each school are definitely appreciated if there is something new you feel is worth adding!

There is a very similar thread which has more than a few schools information. See here.

You could probably get most of these questions answered there.

and that means?... you have asked for a lot of information that mostly can be found by a simple search... do a little work yourself instead of asking someone else to do the lion's share. then if you still cant find some stuff ask specifics.

Actually I saw this in the dental thread, and thought it would be a good addition to this forum since it would help others out. But I saw that there is already a thread like this which is where I am now getting my information from and why I am not expected anyone to post here. Get it?

sexpistol, you have a very short posting record to be laying on such a harsh tone. Perhaps I should go back through your posts and find the newbie-ish one to make you look like an a-hole.

And to the OP, there is some great info about PCOM on the original thread posted earlier put there by none other by the late, great Dr JPH, RIP.
