This is a BS! How do you have 15 questions on radioactivity and another 10 on electricity and fields!? Half of my test was stuff that I hadn't gone over or ever seen on the mcat! Bio was pretty manageable, orgo maybe a little iffy, verbal was a little too easy. Anyone else bomb phys science?

maybe there are two FG forms, cause my PS was easy, but verbal and bio were shti hard...and a crap load of orgo too

hmm, thats strange , dyou think they have different forms of the same name for differecnt cities? that would be complicated as hell. My bio section actually was, for a change, all bio - super easy, maybe a total of 15 orgo questions. Verbal was really easy and physical science was just unmanageable.

Same here. PS was a total nightmare. Verbal was manageable and Bio of BS was easy.

I got the same too! PS was a complete nightmare!! We had a car alarm ring twice for about 15 minutes right beside our room!!! There were too many calcualtion questions, not enough time to do them all, gases, radioactivity, magnetism, electricty/pendulum question!!, electrcity/magnetic field/fluids, ..I don't know! It felt like they mixed up a bunch of topics in each passage! Drove me nuts and I ended up guessing three passages!

VR was ok, finished on time, but I don't want to predict how I did on it because my predictions always don't work!

WS ..I had form 58, and the topics were a bit hard to write anything about!

BS was ok too, too much orgo but ok ...

Overall, I might retake it in April! 😳

NICE! yup, thats it, thats exactly what I had. There were so many long calcuation problems that i spent time on but they were so complicated i still didnt get the right answer. i guessed straight through on 15 questions and another 5 ot 6 throughout. radioactivity, magnetism, electric/pendulum all those topics you mentioned were on mine also. They curve by form though, or by passage, so im guessing the curve for our phys sci form was very generous.

I had form FM, the question that asked**** Man i spent so much time on that calculation, converting it to hours was just too much for my brain to comprehend.. and I'm an engineer!!!! I am embaressed.

I took one look at that question (on FG) and decided to move on...

The PS was definitely more time consuming... The procter called 5 min and I had over 10 questions left!!! Now I know I'm normally slow answering the PS questions, but I made a point of rushing as fast as I possibly could (which will probably bite me in the end), and still had a ton of blanks left.

Oh well, I'm not worrying too much, since when I walked out of the exam I pretty much knew I'd be back in April anyway... 🙁

Same deal man...i'm an engineer too...that question i spent a good 10 mins on! finally in the end i figured out what i was doing wrong...i was using c in meters instead of kilometers...man was that annoying

rather than exact answers, they should have just asked how you would calculate the time in hours: (70 * 150 km)(3 x 10^8 m/s)..........etc.

it's sad, but even for the simplest of calcs, it helped to turn all the numbers into scientific notation before attempting

I totally agree!! There was nothing like that on the PS sections! Most (if not all) were one number answers! Even the Chem.!!!! I mean, do they expect us to be human calculators in only 100 minutes?

I just hope that curve is generous 🙂

Ok soo had form FG.... Took kaplan and was averaging about 27-28 per test.

Verbal - Verbal was definitely my strong point going in, averaging about 12 on the aamc practice and kaplans. The verbal on FG was probably the hardest I have seen to date. Multiple passages with like 10 questions each, and especially the last few passages were some of the most detailed and complex passages (caves and evolution on the islands and some others). Verbal was definitely a force to be reckoned with. I believe the curve will most def reflect this though.

Biology - Heard from all the april mcaters cursing and swearing to me to study as much genetics as possible, funny thing is i think there was 1 passage on the whole bio section with genetics. Anyone remember the hardy wienberg equation question, i think it was like 70%/30% or something like that. Also there was a genetics question about a recessive sex-linked disease and if mother and father didnt have disease but there son has it, what are the chances of the other son having it, I put 50% .... anyone remember it? I actually thought bio was pretty difficult, the renal physiology passage with glucose and the one with the autorecovery during exercise with the experiments on the dog... i think i put that the experiements supported the scientists.... something like that. Basically it was a physiology and like 3 passages on organic, anyone remember what you put for the stereochemistry question, whether it was R, S or both or not enough info. I know all this stuff and I actually had not clue about this question.

Physics - Physics was what I expected... but I mean cmon Kaplans easiest physical sciences section was like 5x harder then any aamc but of course this is reflected in the curve. No real suprises on this section on FG. Anyone remember the question with the rollercoaster that asked where was the highest acceleration, I put "D", (he spot that was to the most right on the track after the second hump).

If anyone remembers anything else on this exam please post!!! Im remembering about 1 or 2 questions per day now!! 👍

Ok, I had FG, but none of what you are talking about rings any bells, so there definitely must be different forms. Maybe they just use the serial #s instead and put the 2 letter test forms there for kicks.. 😕

Sorry guys, I actually had DG, brains been a lil fuzzy since the test..... 😕

yeah i was wondering what you were talking about skiiboy

for form FG, also check out this one, FK, they seem to have all the same questions but maybe in different orders. I also think there were way too many long calculation problems, i mean one or two of those, ok, but I think I spent about 15 minutes on 3 questions, calculating and recalculating my answers trying to figure out how long this space probe takes to signal to earth. I never did come up with answers which were choices for any of them.

I concur with you gents. I wasnt as prepared for this exam as i felt i was.

PS was calculations based, i started off strong but then my perofrmance just waned - i dont know what happened i slowed down and i couldnt finish one passage so i had to pretty much bubble in blindly.

Verbal was atrocious, i felt really uncomfortable throughout it and i think i bombed it big time. This too i couldnt finish on time. I was scoring 9's on EK101 but id be happy if i get an 7-8 on the real thing lol.

Compared to PS & VR i though BS was a little lenient, although organic heavy. In hindsight it felt organic chem was more than the trumpetted 35%. But maybe thats because i remember more fervently what troubled me most on the test.

I am just so upset, timing had never been a problem for me but this test set new trends.Im looking fwd to a horrendous VR score.

There were just 2 questions that really annoyed the hell out of me.

First, in PS, there was the one asking for the oxidation number of that Molybdenum complex. I'm not 100% sure about this but does this link look familiar? http://joi.jlc.jst.go.jp/JST.JSTAGE/bcsj/77.303 Anyone wanna tell me the answer?

In BS, there was that one question on the pedigree chart. I couldn't make heads or tails of it and spent mucho time on it. I must have tried every possible combination of dominance/recessiveness/sexlinkage.😕 What was the chance of the other son having the disease?
