I had my MD interview Jan25. I know ppl on this board who go excepted the week before us, so the admissions committee must have just met... so we probably have to wait a month assuming they meet once a month

Well a friend of mine called and they said that we can hear up until August and they haven't sent any rejections out. Also, they are still interviewing.

Supposedly, they stop interviewing sometime in February and rejections start coming out Mid-Feb -March. That's the letter I DONT WANT TO SEE
Chin up...keep hoping...and yes, I had a friend who was acceptd a week before school started... although by then... I would be settled on another school .... tha'ts definitely late. I am keeping my fingers crossed for all of us! Maybe they are just a little slow with the pace because they only get to pick a limited amnt of people... plus.. the new out of state requirement. Don't give up hope yet... I'm not!

Yeah, Stony Brook is taking a very long time. There was a thread just about that. But to rant again . . . I had my interview in october!

still waiting for USC also, but like BU, USC has no rejection after interview..

BU interview was the first one in Oct.
I have called so many times already and also sent my current transcript twice as they requested....

I was wondering how long one should wait before giving up hope? Its been a month since interviews... is it too soon to start worrying? All my interviews went well, and I had fairly good stats, but I applied late, and everyone says my hopes of getting in at this point are ify

Dentist to be: I know some dental schools that accept well into summer so there still is hope as people tend to put more than 1 deposit down and end up going to another school.....an extreme case...i know USC accepts people all the way up to the first week of classes!


Fruity trident: thanks for the complement, i wanted to make a thread for all of us that are just waiting for a phone call/email/letter with good news (since there are numous threads on sdn that are for people that have been accepted).....im waiting for 2 schools (post-interview) and its killing to check my email and mailbox everyday for something...hopefully everyone gets in thats waiting!

May as well add myself to Boston too. There does seem to be a lot of Canadians waiting on Boston. I think something odd is going on. I know that Canadian schools interview and accept later in time than US schools, so I thought maybe that BU was holding back on those of us who did a regional interview to give us time to hear back from Canadian schools first. I did call BU, and asked if they are holding back on the Canadian applicants who did the regional interview, but the lady on the phone said no.
