All of the carbons are bound to 2 identical groups.
 
O, I see now-darn it. Does this only work b/c the entire molecule is symmetrical? Then shouldn't the wedges and dashes be absent?

It's symmetrical in 3 planes. The wedges and dashes don't mean it can't be symmetrical.

So this compound, lindane, also has no stereogenic centers for the same reason, right? It's much more clear to me with a simple compound like this but I guess it's the same principle.
