I think we should make a thread to share ?s on secondaries so people who are waiting for them can at least be preapred for when they arrive. It would be excellent if people who have the secondaries could post the essay questions to help the slow people among us. Also, having the questions all in one place will make it easier to find them if we want them.

Personally, I am looking for ?s from the following schools:

Albert Einstein College of Medicine
Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine
David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA
George Washington University Sch of Med & Hlth Sci
Harvard Medical School
Jefferson Medical Coll. of Thomas Jefferson Univ.
Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine
Keck Sch. Of Med.University of Southern California
Medical College of Wisconsin
Mount Sinai School of Medicine
Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine
Stanford University School of Medicine
Temple University School of Medicine
University of Massachusetts Medical School

So post your own requests and essay ?s on this thread. Just to reduce clutter, we should keep discussion to other threads and just have mostly requests and replies here.

1. Relate an experience in which you felt you truly helped someone.
2. If you ahve been involved in research, what did you learn that makes this type of experience worth recommending to others?
3. Tell us about a difficult or challenging sitution that you have encountered and how you dealt with it. In your response, identify both the coping skills that you called upon to resolve the dilemma, and the support person(s) from whom you sought advise.
4. Most individuals live by a system of values and beliefs which serve as a guiding principle for daily living. What influences have been particularly important to you? Please describe both values and influences.

This is from Duke, but I think they cover basically all the questions that other medical schools ask. Damn, so many freakin essays...

The scientific and popular news media have heralded several "life-extending" and ?life-altering? technologies--among which are embryonic stem-cell research, cloning, genetic intervention, and organ transplantation. While such technologies represent remarkable developments and applications of our emerging scientific understanding, these technologies raise critical issues with respect to the ethics, morality and economics of these technologies. Identify some of the critical issues evoked by such technologies and address what potential moral, theological, and ethical questions might arise from the decisions made regarding developing and using these technologies in the care of patients.

harvard has no essay... just $$, mt sinai has "what makes you special, someone who will add to the mount sinai communtiy" and "(OPTIONAL) indicate the reasons for your specific interest in my sinai", stanford has "share unique, personally important, and/or challenging factors in your background" and "why do you feel you a re particularly suited for this position? what knowledge, skills, and attitudes have you developed that has prepared you for this career?" hope this helps.... good luck on your secondaries, they are a big pain in my ass right now.
