When are you supposed to send official transcripts to the medical schools you are applying to?

you dont send them directly to the medical schools you are applying to if they take part in AMCAS. If you apply through amcas, you send the transcripts to amcas and they verify your grades on the online application after you submit it. AMCAS has a cover letter you should fill out and give to your registrar to mail out after you are done with this semester's classes.

if they are non-amcas schools like columbia, you send transcripts to the school.

i sent my transcripts in august prior to be asked for them from the schools. the main reason was that AMCAS was all screwed up.
