Tufts has barely started their interview cycle. I'd say no more than 50 people have been interviewed at this point. I'd wait until next semester and more of yall will come out of the woodwork. Congratulations everyone! See yall in the fall.

I just called Tufts and they told me they mailed decisions for those interview on Dec 1st this morning. I guess those accepted will know in a few days.

Not new, but I didn't post in the ***Official*** thread yet, so I'll say I was accepted, and I think the road blocks I had to accepting the invitation will be cleared away, so I may very well be attending next fall. Unless UCLA calls me up a-la "The Price is Right", Tufts is the school I'm most psyched about. Although if UNLV calls me, they offer a better financial situation...

LA? Who in their right mind would pick LA over Boston? Speaking of snow, I bet that, with this weird weather, it'll start snowing in LA soon enough. So you might as well just come to Boston. Haha, I'm kidding.

Money is definitely important. I would go where they offer you the best deal, unless you REALLY want a particular city.

Ditto, I was having serious nerve-wracking issues between Tufts and Penn... Tufts and Boston totally won in the end. We're in the same boat

I've decided to deposit to Tufts. I wish they broke it down to 2 deposits instead of one though, $1500 is nearly my whole paycheck

so what made you decide tufts? i'm just trying to get a feel for other people's opinions and views... how do you guys feel about the block exams? i asked around at my interview and the students didn't seem too excited about them, so i'm a little nervous about that. other than that the curriculum and such seemed pretty solid...

block exams = massive studying a couple weeks before an exam block

one exam a week = neverending stream of studying until the semester is over

Well, since my options were USC and Tufts, it was relatively easy (see: every thread with USC in it). An issue I had was that I wanted to defer for personal reasons, but USC and Tufts both rejected the idea. Waiting to hear from UNLV, but they don't release their second batch until February, so I have to deposit to Tufts (USC's offer expired today). I forgot that Tufts requires that my undergrad sign a form though, and I only have 9 days to make that happen, and Monday is a holiday :-X

i prefer block exams. like tinman said....if its not in block format, you will just have an never ending stream of studying. that will mean 1-2 tests a week and not to mention the random quizzes in classes. with blocks, you can chill for 3 weeks before you crank it up again. of course we study a lil bit at a time (for some its everyday, some others it just 3 days a week) up until the week before, then everyone cranks it up a gear.

our class usually puts together post exam block functions, and everyone can enjoy it on friday without worrying about the anatomy exam looming next tuesday.

So the adcoms at Tufts told the Jan. 27th interview group that we would know 2 days after our interview what are status was i.e. (acceptance, waitlist, or rejection). Did you guys/gals here about your acceptance status through email, snail mail, or phone call? thanks
