I just got the phone call at around 11 AM, but pressed "ignore" as i was pulling my phone out of my pocket!! It was a private number...

Oh well, I got a wonderful voice message from Dean Featherstone...

I thought UCSF requires a high DAT and GPA, but take a look at predent and record of people who got interview and accepted here. It's just fair. not like what I heard.

Big misconception...UCSF wants hella cool people that happen to be dead sexy! Those stats are not on my website....yet!!

Did all of you who found out on AADSAS also receive a phone call yesterday as well? It sounds like some people did and some didn't? I wonder if they're calling the rest of the people today. I haven't gotten a call yet, so I'm kind of nervous. I feel like I don't have confirmation!

Just called admissions... couldn't wait any longer. They said I was supposed to get a phone call yesterday. Turns out they somehow missed me and forgot to call me- but they confirmed my acceptance (whew!). So if you haven't gotten a call yet, you may just want to call them.

i saw the acceptance on aadsas yesterday and they called my house today. they left a voicemail saying congrats and mentioned that i probably already knew because of the website. i think it just took them a while to call everyone, so if aadsas says it then you're in.

Price aside, it is easily one of my favorites! i'm not sure though, because i also got into much cheaper schools (two are 1/3 the price of UCSF oos), so i'm not sure if it's worth paying so much more. but if i won the lottery, i would most definitely attend!

Got my acceptance letter today. Just a small envelope with one letter from Dr. Featherstone. There was no instruction along with it. What am I supposed to do? Call the admissions to accept the offer?

From the students that I talked to, it sounds like it isn't too hard. Most oos students do it. Saves a TON of $$

Nov 21. The last day for consideration for Dec 1st. Didn't make that first round but doesn't matter now. I'll shrug it off that I wasn't wanted as much as those first rounders.

PDizzle, did the dental schools count your post-bach GPA only for admission or did they also consider your undergrad GPA?
