OFFICIAL UMIAMI COUNTDOWN THREAD!

Ok, so every other school pretty much has a countdown thread. I thought I'd create one for all those waiting on UMiami. Post any relevant info about UMiami here. The latest info I have is that there's an adcom meeting at the end of this month, and that all interviews are going to be finished by April 19th.

All I can tell you is that Miami is shafting me.

I have already talked about it but this is the appropriate place.

I talked to the secretary and she is like I don't know what to tell you. Just wait

I talk to these kids that have interviewed there and they are like "What the hell, Miami hasn't interviewed you?

Maybe I spelled my name wrong or something, I don't know.

I would love any medical school at the moment it could even be FSU, damn I didn't apply there.

i got a letter in my hand from miami saying" the next meeting is now scheduled to take place in the middle of march".

initially they told me it was going to be in the second week of march.

believe me all of my friends are getting nervous.

anyway they accept most people they interview so if you interview..very good chance!

luke•••••I dunno, call and ask luke. Some people are saying final letters have gone out. Others are saying it's just for those who've interviewed since the last adcom meeting. Can somebody post what phone number you used to speak to a person there?

Have any out-of-state resident been invited for an interview?

They said they were accepting more out of staters this year, but I haven't heard squat since September.

Did you interview at UF?

Miami was always my top choice (and if offered an interview it may still be).

Good luck w/ UF!! I have a friend who is now a senior there and she tells me that her overall experience could not have been better....

Seriously though, anyone know if we got a shot or not? When they said the class was temporarily full, could that have meant they anticipate sending out acceptances which would make it full this week? I think (hope) that they meant they are anticipating sending out acceptances this week or very soon. This would then make the class full. But, who knows? Maybe I'm being delusional. Tell me if you hear anything.
