Here's Ohio State's latest email. BTW, does anyone know how many letters we're supposed to send and if we send in printed AMCAS apps?

Name of applicant
Address

AAMC ID: 112xxxxx

Dear (your name),

This message is being sent to all applicants to the College of Medicine
and Public Health at The Ohio State University. To alleviate some of the
stress that you must be feeling and to jump-start our admissions process,
we ask that you provide us with some additional information.

Please be aware that the information we are requesting will be used to help
us collect data and verify the data integrity of the new AMCAS 2002 system.
No final admissions decisions will be made with incomplete information.

We invite you to go to our website at
https://sis.med.ohio-state.edu/SecondaryApp/Index.cfm

to complete the secondary application. A number of fields will automatically
be populated for you. This is information taken directly from the AMCAS
2002 system. Be sure to verify the accuracy of the information provided.
If there are any inaccuracies, you must contact AMCAS to make any changes.

To gain access and to complete the secondary application, you will need:

? your AMCAS ID number to log in;
? your Cumulative Undergraduate Grade Point Averages
(BCPM, All Others, and Total) as they appear on your AMCAS application;
? MCAT test information as it appears on your AMCAS application.

There are two essay questions in the secondary application. We suggest that
you prepare your final draft before you begin.
1) Please describe your
interest in attending The Ohio State University College of Medicine and
Public Health and the unique qualities that you would bring to the entering
class. (600 words or less)

2) Please describe your motivation for a career
in medicine and experiences you have had that helped confirm this desire.
(600 words or less)

You will need to click the Submit button to transmit the secondary application
to our Admissions Office.

We are sorry but once you submit your
application, you cannot go back to it to make revisions.

Further
login instructions and additional information may be found at this web site
as you progress through the secondary application process.

If you have any problems, please email us at [email protected].

We thank
for your patience and look forward to receiving your secondary application.

Sincerely,

Mark A. Notestine, Ph.D. Lorna Kenyon
